Dr. Jazmin Blankman is a uniquely qualified and highly prized eye doctor, who cares deeply for her patients and her community.
Among her many licenses and degrees she holds a State of Ohio Optometry License, National Board of Optometry Therapeutic License, Doctor of Optometry, BSc in Biological Science, Completion of Pre-med sequence and Minors in Psychology, Math, Spanish and Chemistry. She graduated Cum Laude with Honors from Florida State University and made the Dean's list there as well. She is a recipient of the American Cancer Society Fisher Fellowship Award and the Duffens Optical Award for published works.
Dr. Blankman has been in practice for 14 years, specializes in Emergency Care, Specialty Contact Lens Fittings and Family Eye Care, and is a past member of the A.O.A, A.O.S.A, I.O.A, Golden Key National Honor Society and Alpha Epsilon Delta. She is currently a member if the E.C.P. Network.
Born in Panama and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Blankman was a preemie and had poor eye sight growing up, and knew the importance of vision, leading her to be interested in eye health from an early age. She also had a passion for helping to care for others very early on and was fascinated by the medical field and science.
In her free time, Dr. Blankman referees Seniors Volley Ball at Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church, volunteers at North Dearborn Elementary School helping teachers and faculty, is the Captain of the Caring Ministry, is on the Media Team, the Heavenly Grounds Team, and is secretary at the Administrative Council for Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church. She is also prayer partner for Junior and Senior High Boys small group, volunteers at Young Voices of Indiana events, and at South Eastern Emmaus Conference events.
Dr. Blankman loves to go for long walks and lift weights, but volunteering her time for those God puts in her life is her passion, starting with her precious children. She has a beautiful daughter who is active on the East Central Swim team and loves to fill her life with song, dance and laughter. She also has an incredibly talented son who is in multiple choirs and can create the most amazing things on the computer and helps Dr. Blankman to view life from completely different perspectives. Together, they help her enjoy every moment of her life and she says it's been great to grow with them.
