Dr. Kristin Gunn O. D.

Dr. Kristin Gunn specializes in treating sports injuries and post-concussion vision problems. Pediatric eye examinations and scleral contact lens fittings are also a part of her eye care services. As a young child, Dr. Gunn received eyeglasses for vision correction, so she understands first-hand how important clear vision is for healthy child development. During rotations in optometry school, Dr. Gunn observed patients with concussions show significant improvement thanks to vision therapy and visual aids. These experiences have given her the knowledge and unique sensitivity that so many young patients need. Dr. Gunn is passionate about concussion research and treating patients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents. Having a key role in the overall healthcare of her patients drives her to find the right solutions for their medical conditions, no matter how mild or serious they may be. A native of Cincinnati, Dr. Gunn received a Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from Ohio State University and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry. She was a student Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She was also a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and traveled to Frome, Jamaica on a mission trip to provide eye care. Dr. Gunn was the Founder of the Indiana University Sports Vision Club and is a member of The American Optometric Association, The Kentucky Optometric Association, and The AOA Sports & Performance Vision Advocacy Network. She is also fully certified to fit MiSight® contact lenses by Coopervision for treating myopic/nearsighted children.
