Dr. Spencer Day joins Opticare Vision Center as one of our newest optometrists to provide satisfying vision care for patients in Harrison, Ohio.
Dr. Day was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. When he was in high school, he obtained a passion for providing vision care after obtaining an eye infection that threatened his vision while he was training for cross country. After weeks of training without contact lenses and being treated by his optometrist, he became an essential component of his cross country team as they go on to win back to back state championships.
Dr. Day graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with his Bachelor of Biological Sciences Degree in 2018. He attended Ohio State College of Optometry and graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry in 2022, with internships at the New Orleans VA Hospital and Columbus Ophthalmology Associates. As his time as a buckeye, Dr. Day developed a passion to treat ocular disease, provide pediatric care, and fit contact lenses especially scleral lenses to treat a variety of corneal disorders such as keratoconus.
He is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. On Saturdays, Dr. Day loves to watch his Ohio State Buckeyes play. He loves traveling to new cities and areas of the country and has a passion for sports and pop culture.
